Waterpark Fun!

More visits with old friends! This time we headed up to Blue Mountain and spent a few hours at a kiddy waterpark. It was so awesome to spend the day with our friends Kevin and Carla and meet their new boy Ryan. Thanks for a wonderful day.

Checking things out!

Showing off her comfort level in the water.

If only the picture wasn't blurry, it just captures Rowan's excitement with all these water toys.

Water fountains come out of the ground and are fun to stand on top!

They are so much fun!

Ryan! You are too cute for words!

Happy 2nd Birthday Rowan!!

Love, love, love Rowan's expression!

Blowing out your candles!

Family pic!

Rowan and her cake, made by Mormor. Rowan looks like such a little Danish girl.

Wowzers! TWO! It's so hard to believe you are 2! You are such a little girl now and no longer a baby. You are a great helper to everyone and understand everything. You help in the garden, help feed the chickens, clean their water, feed the dogs, empty the dishwasher, 'fold' the laundry, and you really love helping to make food. You can say a lot of words now and are adding more each day. You love to read books, and books and more books. You love splashing in puddles, picking up rocks, leaves or garbage. You are really figuring out how to be affectionate with the dogs which can be tough because they are always pushing you around. But you really love them. Rowan, you are a quiet girl especially in new situations. Although, you don't hesitate to speak your mind. Usually with a 'No!' You have lots of great friends who you care about and talk about everyday. You are learning how to share even though it is so hard to do. You love taking care of your babies - holding them, feeding them (either milk, cookies or numnums), rocking them, reading to them and taking them for walks. You are learning how to ride your bike. You love to run and run and run. You enjoy everything that has to do with water. You love to laugh and make jokes, teasing is a fun game of yours. You make Mama and Papa laugh all the time. You love dancing and have great rhythm. You love singing too. You sleep in your big girl bed all the time with 4 blankets, a pajama top but no pants. We love, love, love you Rowan! We have fun with you everyday. Thanks for being our sweetie! Happy 2nd Birthday.

Beautiful Ontario Country Wedding

My little princess

The boys! They have all been friends since kindergarten except for one.

Beautiful bride and groom! Kari and Anders!

The ceremony is done, time to have some fun!

These horses came straight from the fairy tale books! White heavy horses? You don't see that everyday.

High School Reunion

It was so much fun to meet up with my girlfriends from highschool! We try to meet up when we can, although it is usually on my trips back to Ontario. Everytime we meet we start right where we left off as if time hasn't passed. Each time, more kids are included in the mix. I love these girls!

Centreville

During our trip to Ontario, we made a day trip to Centreville on Centre island in Toronto. It was a day all for Rowan. What a lucky girl. We met up with Rowan's great aunt Bodil who was very happy to see Rowan again. Mormor and Morfar came along too. We took the subway to get downtown and we sat right up in the first car and watched the driver of the whole train do his thing.

Looking out the front on the subway train.

Enjoyed a nice picnic lunch with the seagulls, ducks, geese and swans. Watch out where you step, there is poop everywhere!
There are many rides at Centreville for the wee ones. I thought I would take Rowan on the firetruck first. As I stood in line with her, I noticed that there weren't any other parents going on the ride. I looked around and saw the sign: you must be under this height to go on this ride. I was over the four foot mark. Was Rowan really going to go on this ride by herself? She was very clingy to me since we arrived in Ontario, I couldn't see this really working out. There was another little girl close to Rowan's age behind us and I asked her father if Rowan and her could go on together. He didn't mind, and Rowan was eager to go on. I didn't think this was really going to work out, but Rowan was so excited.

There she is! A little stunned, heh?

Well, she got off and asked for more! more! more! She wanted to drive! It was so cool to see Rowan have such confidence to go on these rides by herself.

Driving the sports car!

Auntie Bodil went on the train with us. That was fun too!

Here's a video of Rowan the firetruck driver.
