According to our midwife, the baby isn't planning on making it's appearance anytime soon. In fact she thinks that we will be atleast 5 days over due. Daniel, you might be sharing your birthday.
Everything else is good. Baby continues to grow as I do too. And is getting into position although rather slowly. I have some exercises to do in order to get the baby further down. And also, baby is starting to get comfy near my back which isn't good. More exercises for that too.
So, not really a waiting game yet. Still atleast 3 and a half weeks to go.

Babymoon
We are back from a great holiday, also our last holiday 'sans bebe', hence the term babymoon. We began our trip with front row seats to Cirque de Soleil's 'Corteo'.
What an amazing show. It felt like a real circus as soon as we got to the site. It was a huge circus tent specially set up. Everything was done so well, the costumes, the props, the singing, and music and of course the excellent performers. Some of our favorite parts were the chandelier dancers,
the little lady that was held by balloons,
and the rope performers.
It was such a spectacular show.
The next day we took the ferry to Nanaimo to venture around Vancouver island. We stayed with our friends Bryn and Tara who took extra special care of us. It was a lot of fun.
We ventured over to Tofino where we spent a whole day out on the water, kayaking around some islands.
It began as a misty and foggy morning, but by noon it was bright and sunny.
It was really neat for us to paddle in the ocean as we are so accustomed to lakes.
We saw over 100 bald eagles, over 1000 starfish and jellyfish, 3 seals, one unknown huge water creature (that came up right beside Wes's kayak), and some very large trees.
We enjoyed beach walking in Tofino as well as near Sooke, where we stayed at French beach.
Both of us had never been to Victoria and now we know why people always tell us about the beautiful city of Victoria. It was really beautiful. We really enjoyed seeing all the beautiful flowers at Butchart gardens. Maybe one day my garden will resemble a small section of these gardens.
So, we are headed into the last month of pregnancy. All is well. I feel great. I was surprised how comfortable I was kayaking and camping with a nine month belly.
I don't feel like I will go into labor very soon. I'm thinking we will have an August baby, which is good since the due date is then anyways.

Happy Canada Day
Does it look like I'm pregnant?
What about now?
Here I am at 34 weeks and 4 days. Not long now until we meet baby! This is a shirt I made with my students on our camping trip.
Baby's latest heartbeat as of Monday was around the 140's. Everything else is good, blood pressure, etc. My hemoglobin is still a bit low but I will get my blood checked again today.
Wes and I are off on a babymoon. Well sort of. First we will celebrate Wes's birthday again (Dec 29th) with front row seats to Cirque de Soleil. Then since we are already off on a trip, we figured we'd toot around and see the coast and the island. The new thing these days is taking a baby moon before baby arrives. So I guess you can call it that. We are also due to celebrate our 1st anniversary. In any case, it will be great!
