I'm the new teacher in Burton! That means no more ferries, half the drive, 10 kids to teach in a whole new grade range - K, 1, 2, 3, and 4.
I think I can handle it!

Weekend with L, L, L
Our wonderful friends Leaf, Liz and Lennox came for a weekend visit! Man, we miss them so much! When we lived in the Okanagan, we use to have dinner together at least once a week and even see each other more often for coffee, beer or yoga. It's so nice to still be great friends!

| Lennox and Fisher - hanging out on the playmat! |

| Aboriginal day in Nakusp - Rowan's first time getting face painting. At first she was apprehensive, then after the butterfly on the first cheek she asked for a heart on the other. |

| Rowan has grown up so much the last couple of months. Slow down please!!! |

Summer is on its way. It's just taking it's time.
The weather has been rainy and bit on the chilly side lately. It's not exactly beach weather and some days we get totally rained out. We have succeeded in taking both kids canoeing, fishing and camping! They both really love it. Enjoy the pictorial update!

| He usually is this happy! We're lucky! |
![]() |
| His name is Fisher! |
![]() |
| Fishing on Summit Lake. We never caught any fish this day. It can be challenging to convince a toddler that you can catch a fish when this happens. |
![]() |
| Auntie Eileen came to visit us at Wragge Beach. |
![]() |
| Jax came too! What a cutie. Growing up into a little boy now! |
![]() |
| Yeah, a fish! And this was caught by the proud little girl here! I didn't bring my camera along in the canoe but I wish I could have got it on video. Rowan's excitement was so pure to watch!! |
![]() |
| Handsome fellow, don't you think? |
![]() |
| Life's good! |
![]() |
| Bubbles are fun! |
![]() |
| "I'm gonna catch Papa a chicken." |
![]() |
| Finally the lambs arrive. We have been patiently waiting for them to be weaned and separated from their mothers so they can come live with us. |
![]() |
| Cheesy pic of my handsome hubby - The new sheep farmer! hehe! |
![]() |
| Smiling again! |
![]() |
| Found an old camera for Rowan to 'take' pictures with! |

| Hanging out with our new lambs. |

Fisher's new stats
Fisher is 14 weeks old now. He's weighing in at 14 lbs 8.5 oz and measuring 64 cm long.
We had his first check up with the doctor, but due to our doctor shortage we met with a nurse practioner. Well, Fisher was such a charmer with her. He adored her and was constantly kicking and smiling and cooing at her. It was really neat to see. She was so pleased with his alertness, his strength and of course his smiles.
At home, Fisher is also impressing us with lots of talking. He is testing out the different sounds his voice can make. It really makes you smile and you can't help but talk back to him. This just encourages a whole conversation and before you know it you've been chatting to a three month old for a good 15 minutes! Although Fisher has rolled over a few times from back to front, he isn't doing it consistently. He adores his sister Rowan. When Rowan is patient enough to sit and rock him in his baby chair and smile, sing or just talk to him - he is just beaming from ear to ear. I'll try to get a picture of that!!
