Bella Coola Road Trip Part 2

Took a hike in Bella Coola to see some petroglyphs. We had a storyteller come with us and explain them all to us. Amazing... and thought provoking. This one is a sunflower.
Sun going down at our campsite.
View from campsite.
Red Huckleberries? Yup! And we ate lots!
Rowan learned how to identify coastal huckleberries.
We were told this was an easy 1 hour hike. After 2 hours straight up with kids on our backs we almost didn't make it.
Ok, it was worth it! What a view!
Happy Hikers!!
Every river has rip rap along the banks to prevent flooding. It was incredible to see the damage however regardless from the floods last year.
Fisher's first time in the real swing. He LOVES it!!
HUGE salmon!! Right on the banks of the river. You could just help yourself!
Just past the wharf was a neat park where we watched seals play.
Makes me smile!!
Last view of the valley before heading back up THE HILL.
Yup! It's a grizzly! And we're in the truck!
Back to the Okanagan area, there are still inland huckleberries up high! Rowan is a good berry finder and picker!
Last night of camping. Sigh! We had so much fun!!
