Wow! So magical and eye opening! Our baby (no twins) was clearly seen at our ultrasound today. And what a active baby it is! It was moving all over the place during the whole thing. It was very neat to see. We were shown all the body parts - brain, arm bones, leg bones, feet, bladder, kidneys, oh and the little heart pumping away, everything except the sex of the baby. Everything looks great, although that is from our perspective and we have no idea what we were really looking at. We'll visit with our doctor in a month and go over the results. If he sees anything that needs attention, then we'll know sooner.
We noticed that the baby has inherited the Vibe forehead! We can't tell much else for inheritance.
We also met with a wonderful midwife in Nelson. We are very pleased to make the decision to go with a midwife rather than a doctor for the delivery. There are actually three midwives that we will meet on visits prior to delivering, and then one of them will be there when the big day arrives.
We also made a trip up to the 2nd floor to see the maternity ward. It is NICE! There is a huge tub for birthing in or just for laboring in, plus showers and nice rooms. The nurses were super friendly too. All is looking good!
